This year the town of Brookings will be hosting it's first ever Pumpkin Festival! This festival is to celebrate the start of Fall and the Halloween holiday! Residents of all ages are urged to attend all the events planned for the coming few months!
Join us every Friday night for a Farmer's Market held in Downtown! Here residents of Brookings will put their goods on display for everyone to enjoy and even purchase! The Farmer's Market will run from four o'clock until Midnight every Friday! With a fireworks spectacular to close out the event at ten o'clock each night. The curfew for this event has been lifted, however it is still intact for every other day of the week!
We will also be playing host for the first time to a traveling Carnival! Set up just outside of Brookings will be a large circus tent for shows and rides that everyone can enjoy on the weekends!
The festival and carnival will run from now until Halloween night. The students will then be attending the first ever Halloween Ball, and residents of Brookings can enjoy some trick or treating and a finale at the Carnival no one would want to miss!
Check out the links below for more information about each of the events coming up this Fall! Brookings is happy to finally be offering our residents and students some fun around the town.
Any concerned residents should contact the new chief of police: Rian Wolfe; with any questions or concerns regarding the Pumpkin Festival. As always, be on the alert for any strange activity and always be aware of your surroundings.
