NEW THIS YEAR!
Brookings is proud to invite residents and students of Brookings to come enjoy the first annual Pumpkin Festival!
Due to some changes in Town Hall we've been given an abundance of money for our special events here in Brookings! To celebrate the coming of Fall and the Halloween season we'll be hosting a weekly Farmer's Market in downtown! The Farmer's Market will showcase goods and foods from local shops and stores. It's free to look, but the goods are for purchase!
The Farmer's Market will run from four o'clock to midnight every Friday from now until Halloween. For this even the curfew has been lifted and residents and students will be allowed out until 12:30 on Friday nights. Please be aware that once the event is over for the night everyone should be looking to get back to their homes and dorms as soon as possible. Anyone caught out much later will be stopped and questioned by police.
At ten o'clock every Friday there will be a Fireworks Spectacular over the park in Downtown to help close out the event. The fireworks will last for no more than a half hour, so please be aware of the loud noises that will cover the town for that duration.
Along with the Farmer's Market there are pumpkin patches planted in the gardens of Masquerade Academy for those who wish to decorate! Hay rides are also available around the gardens and through the woods. A Spooky Woods Tour has also been set up by some of the residents. It features a late night tour through Desdemona woods with thrills and chills the whole family can enjoy! (available Friday and Saturday nights only)
As always please be on the look out for any strange activity. If you notice something don't be afraid to alert the police!
Look out for more exciting times to come this holiday season!
