Tigan is a very shy girl, so shy in fact that she will run away from most conversation unless she has to talk. She talks very quietly and sometimes almost whispers. From the time she was a young child she was always scared of having to talk in front a of a large group of people. She loves to read books so she will most likely always be found in the library or her room reading. She would rather live in a fantasy world then in the real one. Making friends is hard for Tigan to do, since everytime she gets close to talking to someone she gets scared and goes invisible. Her emotions have always regulated her ability. When ever she was scared or shy, which for her was almost always. During the times that she is forced to have to speak to someone she will bit her nails out of nervousness and mess with her hair.
She always wears enough clothes to cover most of her body. She likes darker clothing so she is never seen while in the shadows. Since she lived in an all girls orphanage her whole life she's never really had anytime with boys. So most likely she will try and avoid this unless she has to. As long as Tigan can remember she was never able to defend herself in a fight. If a fight ever arose she would either run away and hide or curl into a ball and try not to get hit. Screaming at the top of her lungs for one of the sisters was also one of her getting out of a fight techniques. While she was growing up she was never able to speak up so if she wanted something she would just use hear ability at night after everyone had gone to sleep and get it herself by sneaking around in the dark.

When Tigan was a baby she was left on the door steps of the St. Patricks Orphanage for girls in the fall of 1999 in Tampa Florida. The orphanage took her in and she grew up there like all the other kids. She would play with the kids at playtime and eat dinner with all the girls. But once she became 13 she started getting ignored by all the other girls and staff. She stopped eating with the other girls and would eat at her bed, she would play alone at playtime and read books at night in stead of talking to the other girls. She started feeling like no one would pay any attention to her. So she would keep to herself and never play with the others or get involved at school or do anything to gain any attention. While all the other girls would get adopted and taken in by good families she was the only one to get left behind.
One night she was sitting on her bed crying after she had been left out of a conversation with the other girls about some of the boys at a school that was nearby. She got up and walked to the bathroom and was going to look in the mirror to wash the tears away when she realized that she had no reflextion. This scared her so much that she ran into one of the bathroom stales and stayed there all night. In the morning when it was breakfast time one of the sisters noticed that she was missing and went looking for her. The sister found her in the bathroom stale and asked her what had happened. She didn't want the sister to think that she was some kind of freak and kick her out of the orphanage. So she said that she had been picked on by the girls and was crying. Eventually she started to use this ability to spy on the sisters to try and find out who her real parents where and why they would have given her up. But it never came to anything since there was no paper work on her. One day the sisters where thinking about Tigan's future and found a mysterious paper on the head sisters desk about a school for gifted kids. So they told Tigan about this place and Tigan was scared to go. But the sisters told her she had no other choice. That she would fit in better and would be taken care of better. So Tigan went.

If it's really bright, like outside in the daytime then you can just make out the shape of her. If she is harmed or hit by anything than she looses focus and becomes visible.
