Cam is a very open person and finds no difficulty in speaking to strangers - though this isn't the best habit. She adapts to difficult situations with ease unless they link to anything romantic or emotional, both of which cause her to panic. When she panics, Cam usually shapeshifts since she doesn't have very good control over her abilities despite her age. Cam is very confident in who she is and can be seen as bold, almost arrogant, when interacting with new people.

Cam is gullible and can easily be manipulated, especially if she is in an unfamiliar place. She gets side-tracked quickly - going from studying for a test to drawing dragons on her notebook cover in an instant. Cam tries to be honest and has a great sense of humour, though not when someone tries to steal her food or her things.

Cameron's parents, George and Jennifer Walker, were an odd pair. Her father was a light-humoured and forgiving person, like Cam, but her mother was a stern workaholic when she was alive. Sadly, Jennifer died during labour with Cam - her body unable to survive the childbirth. George was heart-broken and grieved for many days before turning all his attentions on Cameron, who was a healthy baby.

George doesn't like to admit it, but he spoiled Cam who could wrap him around her little finger with ease. She was still disciplined whenever she did something bad and so Cam quickly learned the difference between right and wrong. Her Aunt Katherine helped teach her how to talk and dress herself whilst her father taught her how to walk and... swear. he was a sailor by trade and his work speech soon rubbed off on Cam.

During her school years, Cam was quite troublesome for her teachers. She didn't backchat and wasn't deliberately rude but she kept getting side-tracked during lessons and would wander off the second her teacher took her eyes off her. Once the school were forced to call the police after Cameron had vanished for three hours; only to have her turn up, claiming she had been in the bathroom the whole time. Along with her usual lessons, George taught Cameron German at home, wanting her to be bilingual since it would open up more opportunities in her future.

Her father George was a maned wolf shapeshifter, though he left his pack a few years before he had even met Jennifer. As such, Cam was a maned wolf shifter as well. Ever since she was young, her father had told her this secret and explained what it meant and how she could control it. Cam was scared at this reveal and first denied her father's claims. It wasn't until she first shifted at the age of six that she started to accept her ability. George was overjoyed by her first shift and shifted himself when Cam first did, in an attempt to calm her down. Twice a week, George would bring Cam into the living room to help her work on her shifting ability. Soon she was able to switch between forms with ease, though she would still accidentally shapeshift when she got stressed out.

Other children found Cam likable and she was rarely left out of games unless she didn't want to join in. Sometimes she was content to sit and draw whatever she felt like drawing. This social behaviour continued all the way through primary school until her father decided to move to Nevada in America.

When she asked why, her father explained to her about a school that specialized in helping shapeshifters as well as loads of other people with loads of other abilities. The way he spoke of it made Cam's eyes widen in wonder - until she learned that George would be leaving her in the care of her Aunt Katherine, who lived in Nevada, whilst he worked at sea. After three years of stubborn denial, Cam finally agreed to go albeit begrudgingly. Her father made all the arrangements and they got ready to fly over by airplane.

Katherine showed up with her car and took them both to her home in Nevada, dropping off Cam at her home before getting ready to take George to the ship he was contracted to work on. The two hugged and said fond farewells, her father starting to cry whilst Cam remained dry-eyed and a bit embarrassed for him. After George was dropped off, Katherine showed Cam around the town and explained to her how the school worked.

Cam has currently been attending Masquerade Academy for two years whilst living with her Aunt, sending and receiving emails from her dad.
