A bookworm.
If there was one thing people would describe her as, this was it. She enjoys reading, and is the type to find facts like, "There are more fake flamingos in the world, than real ones" interesting. And it's not at all something she would feel ashamed of for either.
This is something she enjoys doing in her past time, and she wouldn't change that part of her, for anybody. Stuff like that is when the reserved girl, who usually reads almost every chance she gets, becomes confident enough to actually speak her opinion.
It's always interesting seeing her in these moments, and both friends and family, try to encourage her to have more confidence. Lightly teasing her about her reading habits, and dragging her along to have fun, is pretty much the only way she'll stop.
`` FAVORABLE TO

`` UNFAVORABLE TO

Life had changed near the start of her Freshman year.
Before she had gotten her powers, she was just a girl living in New York, about to enter the year where she started to figure out who she was. Summer hadn't really been wonderful.
A couple of so-called friends, had changed, and believed themselves to be above everyone else. But hormones can do that to some people. Although hurt, her other friends got her past it, for the most part. Parents were also pretty busy.
Living in the city, especially a place like New York, was pretty expensive. That much, she knew. Though up until that summer, her parents had seemed to handle their finances fine.
It was pretty difficult not to feel neglected sometimes, though like she always did when she felt down, she read. Books were something her father introduced to prepare her for the world, since society wasn't like how it used to be during his time.
At first, she hadn't really found it enjoyable, but that changed during a conversation with her friends, where she was able to give her input on something they didn't know. An event that was a real highlight for her kid self, and started her reading habits.
Then around the time people started showing signs of possessing powers, something that fascinated her, she had gained hers. It was an odd sensation, being out of your body, and somewhere entirely different. Everything just happened in a flash.
But as quick as it happened, it had also ended. Though what she thought had only been a few minutes, had actually been at least fifteen, according to her parents. Word of Masquerade Academy came up, though her family couldn't just drop everything and move.
She had to attend a portion of her Freshman year at a regular school, while finances were sorted out, and also studying for the entrance test. Staying at a regular school became a problem, when news of people hunting those with superpowers had spread.
She also had trouble figuring out how to control her own powers, and not to mention hiding how obvious her tell was, when it was going on. Like when someone zones out, her eyes turn glossy.
Eventually though, by the time she had managed to pass Masquerade's exam, her grandparents had helped out with the move, and her new life began in this fascinating haven.

`` ABILITY/POWER
Has the gift of bi-location, or being in multiple places at the same time. For Riley, activating it requires imagining a floating sensation between her eyes, and after, concentrating on the image of a person or place she knows. This creates a spiritual body.
Her real one, is left motionless in it's original position, with glossy eyes being the key that she's not inhabiting it. For those with the power to possess, this leaves her open. Although a struggle will still occur, on who gets to actually control the body.
When she learns to control her powers better, she will eventually be able to choose whether or not to move her original body, at the same time as her spiritual one. Being able to go beyond the place she imagines, or wherever a person's last recorded position was, will also be possible for her to do. Though not for a long while.
