Makyah is a strange being to describe. She has moments of absolute lunacy. A complete hyperrandomstrangeweird mood that seems to sweep her off her rocker. She will literally be laughing her ass off at nothing at all, bubbly, and seemingly psycho, as she rolls around giggling. But really, she's quite sane, she just gets some sort of high off life. She embraces life, and usually only sees the good in it, even as she's kicking the evil in their no-nos. And even with all the pressure, and what seems like threat, that she has to live with day in and day out, Mak never lets it get to her. She doesn't show how stressed or annoyed she is, she just let's the bad hit and fall off the side of a cliff, and uses it to brighten those happy moments even more. And with the rarity of happy these days, that doesn't seem like such a bad thing, right? Sarcasm is her first language. Most everything she says can't be taken seriously. Seriously. Even in the most tense of moments, she'll say something that totally throws off everyone else. Her sarcasm is one of her weapons though, she can't help but laugh at herself and at others when they react to her comments. And occasionally, her sarcasm tends to be a bit sardonic, but she never really means to hurt anyone, it's just how it works out in that moment.
Mak also loves animals, and small children. And when either of those are in danger, she goes into ftwmother mode and tries to save 'em and make everything better. She really wears her emotions on her sleeves, and when she's mad, you'll know it. And she clings to others real easy too, basically everyone on earth is her best friend, they just don't know it yet. She is fiercely protective, and self-sacrificing to the maximum level. She would throw herself in front of a train to save her brother, or someone she considers family. And would take a bullet or a beating for someone she just met. Mak knows what lurks out there in the dark, and she takes it upon herself to protect those ignorant to the truth. (Or too stupid to realize what they've survived.)
Makyah is quite easy to get along with, and cracks horribly cheesy jokes to break the ice with new people. She comes off as annoying sometimes though, but usually makes up for it... Sometimes. She's yet to meet anyone who she could consider a real 'enemy', besides demons and whatnot, because she can't stand when people don't like her, and tries to remedy the situation. And pestering seems to be the best way to go about it. And just as she annoys others, Mak herself can get very annoyed and angry, very easily. It's kind of like a watered down version of bipolar disorder. She can go from perfectly happy to annoyingly pissed then to depressed beyond words, and back to cracking jokes in a matter of minutes. But it doesn't happen often. She's either one of the other for most of the time. It's just certain things will bring her down, and just the mention of them has an effect on her. And yes, Missy can be quite the stubborn person. If she wants something, she wants it now, and she will not stop until she gets it. If she wants to kill something, she WILL kill it, no ifs, ands or buts. If she wants to go somewhere, she WILL get there, even if she has to slam a club upside her brother's head in order for it to happen. And when she doesn't get her way, she gets to be quite pouty. And the puppy dog pout isn't something you want her to start doing
The things that truly make Makyah different from everyone else, besides everything mentioned above, are her trustworthiness, and her curiosity. Mak’s curious nature tends to get her in trouble more often then not. She enjoys sticking her nose in places where it doesn’t belong and has been caught in a trap more often then she can count. She's just a naturally curious person, she likes to know how things works, she likes to touch and pick up and feel things, and well, she likes asking questions. Lots, and lots, and looooots, of questions. But, you could literally rest your life in the palm of her hand and know that you're perfectly safe. She's one of the few people who would rather die then to give away someone's secrets, or to rat out a friend. No matter the amount of torture, or the threats she has to endure, her mouth will stay shut. And she has your back no matter what, she's loyal to those she loves, and wouldn't turn her back on a fight, or a friend.

Born in the poorest 'burbs of New York, Mak and her twin brother Seb shared a tiny apartment with their older sister, their parents, two uncles and a cousin whom no one could remember the relation. But they helped pay rent, so why not let them live there. The siblings shared a room, it's walls were painted in several different colors, and there was only a tiny window to look out of. When it came time for the siblings to start going to school, their mother decided that New York wasn't the best place to raise kids, and promptly removed the five of them from their tiny apartment to a town house in Maine.
Then to a bungalow in Florida.
A ranch in Montana.
A house in Arizona.
'Til they finally settled down in a townhouse in Northern California. Cali seemed to be their final resting place. Their mother was happy, their father was miserable, and the kids seemed to enjoy the atmosphere. The schools were close enough for them to walk every morning, and while mom and dad bickered day and night, the kids found solace in each other. Though Mak was considered the middle child (being a few minutes older then Seb and younger then their older sister) she seemed to be able to grab the attention of anyone she wanted. She was sweet, but demanding as a child, wishing her parents would stop fighting, and taking their harsh words somewhere else.
They moved a few more times in her childhood. From apartment, to house, to apartment back to a house, never spending more then a year or two in one place. It was hard on Mak, but unlike her brother, she was able to make friends easily where ever they ended up. It hurt her every time they moved though, and even as she tried to stay in contact with everyone she grew attached to, she had a hard time keeping up with the names and places.
Then, their notsofairytale life went from bad to worse. Their father picked up drinking, went on rampages, cheated on their mother, then their mother retaliated by cheating on him. They ended their beautiful marriage in divorce, and mother-dearest packed up the kids and moved them two hours north. She re-married to a man who enjoyed beating people up, and setting things on fire. All three of the kids learned to be small and quiet while at home, and let their true personalities shine at school and when they started working, they asked for extra hours, with or without pay, just to stay out of the house.
For five years the teens lived with their mother and abusive step-father in California, before they were all packed up and shipped off Texas due to their new father's job. At this point Mak had become a shining star in school, finding drama and art to be more her fortay. She was a bit closed off when it came to telling her personal life to people, but she had enough friends to be considered quite popular. All the teachers loved her spirited personality, her friends wanted to be her, and boys wanted to date her. But she was more shy then she let on, and stayed out of the dating game in school.
And then weird things started happening.
Makyah started to feel like déjà vu was happening more than actual life. She'd wake up in the morning and already knew how the day was going to go. She found that she already knew answers to pop quizzes and tests in school without even studying. And she found that she could predict what was going to happen on her walks home before they actually happened. And when all of these things happened, Mak would get the sense that she experienced this all before.
Writing it off on lack of sleep due to her studies, Makyah put off really trying to figure out what was wrong as just some sort of side effect to not sleeping and consuming way too many energy drinks. But then she started to live in the past, and future. Finding herself being ripped away from this world and being tossed into the past, or into the future. She didn't understand what was going on, and she couldn't figure out how to control it. She would just be sitting in class taking a test and the next thing she knew she was standing outside the Capitol building in 1829. Then she'd be forced back to the present after she freaked out for a moment. And in the current time it was like she had never left.
A few months passed by with Mak going back and forth through time, before she was approached by a guy who said he had a possible cure for her. He was taller than most people she had ever met and he introduced himself as Jediah. He actually seemed confused that she didn't recognize him, but didn't push the subject as he took her to a book store in the middle of Main Street. She became a little nervous, but Jed pulled her into him and walked her into a back room, and then down a set of stairs, leading her to an older gentleman sitting at a desk.
It didn't take long for Makyah to be enthralled by the man, who explained what she was going through and how he could help her. She also noticed a few other people in the basement, a vampire that was a little disgruntled and a shifter that was hyperactive. She didn't mind the others, but found Jed a bit creepy when he just sat and watched her. For a few weeks Mak would skip school to return to the book store and speak with the man, who eventually introduced himself as Mr. Edwin, and learned how to control when she would travel, and not have it happen sporadically.
One time she was shocked to see her brother walking through the doors behind her, and even more surprised when the grumpy vampire (Micky) attacked and bit him. Sadly, Sebastian died, and Makyah demanded that Micky bring him back as a vamp. He did, against his wishes, and then Makyah made the decision (with a bit of help from Jed) to move to the school that Mr. Edwin had mentioned to her.

`` ABILITY/POWER
Time Manipulation: Basically, she can travel back and forth through time. Although currently she doesn't have much control on it, and she tends to just get thrown into different times of the world randomly. And it's not like she can control what happens, she's pretty much invisible to the people who live in that time. She can't touch or mess with anything, she's like a ghost, she can only observe.
