Breakfast time on her first day of school. 'Just breath.' She thought to herself as she got dressed in her typical plain faded grey shirt and khaki pants with short white socks and black and white tennis shoes with a very small whole in the heal of the shoe, and looked at herself in the mirror. 'It's not like the orphanage. There are boys here and no one knows you. It will be different here.' She thought as she took at deep breath and prepared herself mentally for the day ahead. New classes, new people, new chances to be someone new. She got even more nervous and felt her power kick in. "Stop!" She yelled at herself and saw her hands come back to normal. It was the only way she could get her power in check sometimes.
She walked over to her bed and picked up her over used and taped together book bag that had her books and school supplies in it. She threw it over her shoulder then headed out the door to were everyone was sitting and eating breakfast. Once there she found a spot away from everyone else and sat down with her platter full of eggs and bacon and toast and a glass of orange juice. She then opened her book bag and pulled out one of her books and set it next to her food and ate while reading. She finished her food then pushed the plate of finished food away and pulled her book completely in front of her. She then continued to read.
It wasn't long after this that she started to feel eyes on the back of her head. She tried to ignore it like she did at the orphanage. She looked down at her wrist and according to her old and really used watch that she still had like a half hour till her first class. She turned back to her book, but the feeling of someone watching her was bugging her again. She slowly closed her book, put it down in front of herself, then slowly turned just her head to see who it was that was looking at her. After scanning the whole room she didn't see anyone looking at her so she went back to her book. After about another minute she heard someone walk up behind her. She held her breath in fear of who it might be.
