Ms. G has a very bright and eccentric personality. She is very outgoing and enjoys being the center of attention, not that she strives to be there, but people are drawn to her sweet demeanor and friendly personality. She dresses elaborately, bright colors, exotic dresses, layers of mixed colors that somehow go together, and she generally makes it a rule to not wear shoes. Tawny is very happy go lucky, she's sweet, kind, and calm unless she's particularly hyper. In stressful situations she's the one who keeps everyone level headed and tends to be the good guy in most situations. She treats each of her students as if they were her own kids, being a friend and mentor first before a teacher.

She's in a perpetually good mood, it's very rare to see her angry or depressed. She has a lot of energy that makes it seem like she's running around the school on three pots of coffee. Because of this she doesn't get much sleep, spending most of her time out of the class writing, dancing, singing in the staff lounge, or painting into the long hours of the night from her balcony. She gets about five hours of sleep, and is up before most of the school and already running around collecting pieces of this and that for her newest ideas. On the weekends she teaches music lessons to students, and volunteers at the hospital. Unless she has the chance to get over to the Lake or go hiking in the woods with other teachers or staff.

She's very active, enjoys nature and can be seen constantly in the gardens or down by Keya Lake when she isn't teaching classes, and when the weather isn't too hot or cold. She's a hopeless romantic, always waiting for her Prince Charming to come and sweep her off her feet (although she's almost certain there are no white horses around Brookings). But never the less, Ms. G always has a smile on her face, even when she's being serious, and most who see her smile, can't help but smile back.

Tanya was born in a small town in Ohio and was left at the hospital without so much as a note from her biological parents. She grew up in foster care, spending most of her childhood in an orphanage. Potential parents came to visit the orphanage constantly, but for some reason no one gave her a second glance. Despite being ignored and practically tossed to the side, Tanya had a positive and bubbly attitude that helped her deal with her darkest of times. While the orphanage wasn't a terrible home, the other kids who came in and out of there were not the kindest, having issues of their own they lashed out and Tawny being who she is defended others by sacrificing herself to the bullies.

After her fourteenth birthday, Tanya was finally adopted by a couple who had difficulties having a child. They were exceptionally kind, but never told Tawny why they adopted her, they only treated her with love and kindness. She was sent to school and began to let her more artistic side show. She tried out for school plays, grabbed the lead in a few, and even found she had a talent for singing. She became quite popular amongst the other students, winning talent shows and even receiving a scholarship to a Dramatic Arts university where Tanya could really let her talents shine.

However, on her eighteenth birthday, Tanya's parents decided to bring her into the fold of their secret organization. They were both Hunters, working for a North American guild, analyzing and collecting data on select people. They allowed Tanya access to their group and recruited her into the Guild. Tawny was a bit confused about how the Guild worked at first, she was recruited as a holder, watching over people that were brought in and accompanying them during transports. She never knew what happened to the people after she was done watching them, only that her parents told her she was helping people. She was helping people to learn about their powers, and how to use those powers for good.

After a few years, Tawny was brought deeper into the folds of the organization, deemed trustful enough to be given more responsibility. But, once Tanya realized that what the Hunters did was hunt, torture and kill the people she had made friends with, she ran. She left the Guild and her parents, leaving everything she had in Ravenna and not stopping until she was halfway across the country. With no where to go, Tawny had to sleep in a homeless shelter until she was able to find a job. Fortunately, before she had to spend much time on the street she came in contact with someone who knew about the Guilds, but also knew where Tanya could go.

Masquerade Academy. Not only was it a safe haven for kids with strange powers, it was also a place where she could hide from the Hunters she knew were looking for her. There is no retiring from a Guild. You either stay your entire life, or you die. And Tanya was determined to live her life to the fullest, helping as many people as she can along the way.
